What is Judgment Enforcement?

You’ve worked hard to get a judgment in court. But now the debtor won’t pay!

What do you do, since the court doesn’t help you collect the money due you?

Judgment Professionals work to enforce the judgment to recover the money a court said is owed to you. Some typical ways of enforcing the judgment include:

  • Wage garnishments
  • Debtor examinations in court
  • Property liens
  • Levies (seizures) of bank accounts and other assets
  • Court-ordered turnover of assets

Often, a significant amount of investigative work is required as part of this judgment recovery effort, both into the debtor’s assets and income.

Every CAJP Member operates his/her own business, over which CAJP has no control.
