The CAJP was formed in 1999 by a group of dedicated, experienced judgment recovery specialists, living and operating businesses in the State of California. The purpose was to organize and to share ideas, experience and resources in order to more effectively enforce court judgments. That mission has not changed. Since its founding, the CAJP has grown to include a diverse group of judgment recovery specialists throughout California, and beyond, to include attorneys, paralegals, registered process servers, private investigators, and other affiliated businesses. CAJP members must commit to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism when enforcing and collecting judgments.

As a California-focused professional organization, our members are uniquely specialized in the enforcement and recovery of California judgments. Some of our members affect judgment recovery throughout the country as well as internationally. Judgment enforcement specialists from all over country join the CAJP because it is the only organization of its kind in the U.S. We welcome everyone interested in the ethical enforcement and recovery of court-ordered judgments
